July 8, 2011 (WORTHINGTON, OH) – American Health Holding, Inc., a multi-URAC accredited medical management service provider, announced it has named Kari Ruthig as its Wellness and Disease Management Consultant. In this role, Ruthig will provide American Health’s clients with expert advice and support to ensure the success of their Wellness and Disease Management programs.

“Kari’s extensive experience will help American Health to further assist our clients in their goal of creating healthy workplaces and healthy employees,” states Paul Lavin, American Health’s President & CEO. “Her understanding of both employees and clients through her previous work as a health coach and designing wellness programs will help American Health continue to grow and provide outstanding service to our customers.”

Ruthig joins American Health with more than 15 years of experience in health education and health promotion. Most recently Ruthig held a similar position at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where she designed wellness and care management solutions individually tailored to meet groups’ needs.

“I am very excited to be joining American Health during this crucial time for wellness and disease management in our industry,” said Ruthig. “I look forward to working closely with our customers to promote health, wellness and the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions.”

Kari has a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education and Health Promotion from Central Michigan University and is a certified Wellness Coach.
