Description

• Provide high quality, professional utilization management services to include prompt, courteous, and error free response to utilization management functions
• Maintain quality of work by using sound judgment, good analytical & communication skills with great attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records to include clear documentation of medical necessity for all admissions and/or extensions.
• Complete follow through for disposition of cases - MD reviews, chart reviews, audits, case management referrals
• Exhibit problem solving approaches.
• Maintain current level of knowledge for nursing, medical, and health trend issues.
• Perform clinical reviews to determine medical necessity of requested services.

Requirements

• Active Nursing license (for State of Arkansas position - license must be active and unrestricted in the State of Arkansas)
• 3 years acute hospital care or UR experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, stress tolerant, and flexible.
