Roland Griggs, MD, Medical DirectorDr. Jackson joined American Health in 2008 as a member of the physician review panel and was named the company’s second Medical Director in 2012. She has more than 25 years of medical experience and specializes in internal medicine, public health and preventative medicine. Prior to joining American Health, Dr. Jackson was an Associate Medical Director for Q2Administrators in Westerville, Ohio, a subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Palmetto GBA, where she handled third-level Medicare reconsideration. She was an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University in the School of Public Health, where she was also the Director of Residency Training Program in Preventative Medicine. Dr. Jackson received her A.B. in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Howard University. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Jackson is a Fellow in the American College of Preventive Medicine and is a certified Health Care Quality Manager by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP).
